Imagine entering a room and seeing no one that looks like you. Whether we’re talking about physical rooms, Discord channels, Twitter Spaces or rooms in the metaverse, this experience is all too common for women and other outlier groups in Web3.
By shining a light on and providing a space for the many diverse leaders and innovators moving the Web3 world forward, BFF Discover seeks to change that.
Launching today, BFF Discover is our original content studio for Web3 education, insights and interviews. In a recent survey, members of the BFF community told us that education is the single biggest thing that will help them advance their skills and knowledge in Web3. And even in the bear market conditions, most BFFs remain committed to learning about and investing in Web3.
The challenge? When Team BFF first started talking to friends and colleagues about Web3, it was clear they were hungry for a place to learn more, but none of the content out there really resonated with them. Some of it was too jargony to be readable. A lot of it covered topics that just weren't of interest. And most of it was told from the perspective of male voices.
BFF Discover disrupts that reality by leaning on the expertise of diverse female and non-binary voices making waves in the space. Many articles are written by BFF Contributors, passionate and diverse writers and creators working to educate and empower the BFF community. Other features will include the stories of our impressive cohort of Founding BFFs. And you’ll often hear from our co-founders, Brit Morin and Jaime Schmidt, with their insider perspective on how Web3 is shaping the world we live in and, in turn, how BFF is shaping Web3.
